Dock Services

Fullen Dock operates six docks — five for unloading and one for loading. Plus we simultaneously on- and off-load for hassle-free scheduling. Whether you need it straight to truck or straight to warehouse, if you can ship it, we can unload it. From limestone to containers (full or empty) to riverboat paddle wheels.

We’ve been building capabilities and facilities since 1979, combining the ideal location, experience, and equipment to ensure superior service – any hour of any day.

Easy access to rail lines, interstates and highways along with an on-site trucking partner means you can consolidate your scheduling and logistics to seamlessly coordinate every portion of your shipment’s journey.

Container-on-Barge Service

Fullen Dock has made Memphis a truly intermodal transportation hub. Close to a million containers travel through the area each year, but only Fullen Dock provides an inland waterway container-on-barge service for the Port of Memphis. This completes the container transportation network, joining six rail lines, two major interstates, three highways and the Mississippi River to provide complete container shipment options.

Container-on-barge service can be used in conjunction with or as a cost-effective alternative to truck and rail. Barge service is a particularly smart option for repositioning empty containers, which can cost as much as full containers to transport by truck or rail.

If you need to get your containers to or from Fullen Dock by road, our partner Jimmy T. Wood, Inc. has the experience and the trucks (more than 50) to meet your needs. Located at the center of the country, Fullen Dock is just an overnight drive from 75 percent of the U.S. population.
