Fullen Dock And Warehouse Brands Its Aggregate Division
MEMPHIS, Tenn.—(March 15, 2005)—Fullen Dock and Warehouse, an intermodal river terminal located at Mile 740 of the Lower Mississippi, today announced the branding of its aggregate division, Fullen Stone. This specialized aggregate division supplies Mid-South construction industries with a variety of high-quality aggregate, including roadbase, limestone, concrete aggregate, riprap, agricultural limestone, fill sand and asphalt rock.
“Our geographic location on the Mississippi River, access to a number of rail lines and major highways allows us to receive and ship product via multiple modes of transportation,” said Lanny Chalk, terminal manager. “Additionally, our partnership with Jimmy T. Wood Trucking provides access to a fleet of over 50 trucks able to transport aggregate across town or into bordering states.”
A full-time quality control manager assures Fullen Stone’s inventory meets rigorous industry standards. In addition to offering a wide variety of high-quality aggregate product, Fullen Stone maintains a large inventory, with over 100,000 tons on site at all times. And through economical, inbound barge transport of aggregate, Fullen can pass cost savings along to its customers.
As one of the largest suppliers in the Mid-South, Fullen Stone has provided aggregate products for some of the largest engineering projects in the area, including 150,000 tons of construction aggregate for the two-mile International Runway at Memphis International Airport, and 200,000 tons of aggregate for the construction of the Union Pacific Intermodal Yard in Marion, Arkansas.
The branding of Fullen Stone will be supported by a direct marketing campaign designed to target regional construction trade, including architects, engineers, landscapers, home builders and road builders.
When the historic bomber Memphis Belle needed a lift from the Millington Naval Base to its newly constructed pavillion at Mud Island in downtown Memphis, Fullen Dock got it there safe and sound.
